We’ve been collaborating locally with the Healthy Community Society and regionally with the Kaslo Food Hub and the Nelson Community Food Cupboard to offer a series of community events in the “Food Pathways in the Kootenays” program, funded by United Way Canada. Each workshop is repeated in each of the three communities. Along with the Apple Press-Fest, Fireweed has played host this fall to a wild mushroom foray event led by Robin Mercy of Mr. Mercy’s Mushrooms.
